"7 Tunnels to 7 Hills" project's, one of the projects of the Istanbul Greater City Municipality to solve the traffic problem, Kağıthane-Piyalepaşa and Bomonti-Dolmabahçe subways, 12,3 km in total, aims to take 400,000 vehicles' traffic under the ground. The duration of transport form Dolmabahçe to Kâğıthane shall be reduced to 4 minutes and the traffic of the region shall be considerably relieved. Within the 7 tunnels to 7 hills project, 32 tunnels with a total of 142 km are planned to be built.
