• "FIRSTS" MADE BY ASLAN ÇİMENTO...
Aslan Çimento proved how it cares about the environment becoming the first factory of Turkish cement sector entitled to Type A Emission Authorization Certificate in January, 1998. Apart from international high standards it adopted in Occupational Health and Safety, the factory set an example for the sector also for its system-oriented activities like OHSAS documentation.

The first Customer Service Line is another 'first' introduced by Aslan Cimento in the sector. Aslan Çimento has provided the sector with technical service support by means of its ambulatory laboratory-equipped vehicles.

"Being Customer-Focused", an approach aimed at developing exclusive products and solutions meeting expectations and requirements of customers, brought with it the first branded products of Turkish Cement Sector. With the advent of KARAT, the first branded bagged cement developed for plaster and wall-laying applications, and CEMENTUM, the first branded bulk cement developed for ready-made concrete and other industrial applications, Aslan Çimento paved the way for a new age called "a fit-for-purpose branded cement".

• EUROPEAN UNION CERTIFICATION FOR PRODUCT QUALITY: CE CERTIFICATE
Right after ISO 9002 Quality Certificate awarded by Lloyd's accreditation firm in 2000, Aslan Çimento also obtained the authorization to use "CE Compliance Mark" for PC 42,5 type cement from French Afnor Certification body in June, 2001. CE compliance mark means "conformance to European Norms" and is indicative of the fact that a product is in conformity with the European Union rules as regards healthcare, safety, environment and consumer rights. CE compliance mark is, at the same time, commercially, a kind of visa which enables products to freely move within the economic zone of the European Union. In 2001, thanks to this certificate, Lafarge Aslan Çimento's PC 42.5 product has received big admiration within the European Union boundaries and in Spain, in particular.

Certification cooperation handled with French Afnor and Italian Icite Certification bodies to obtain Compliance Certificate, a quality certificate, has come to a conclusion and Aslan Çimento has been awarded quality certificate as "CEM I 42.5 R CE NF" for PC 42.5 cement product according to international standards. Wording "NF" in this classification denotes French Norms which are highly challenging for obtainment of certificate of compliance and, yet, which are very important on the score of quality certification.

• A PIONEER IN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Survival of a company for such a long time depends not only on qualifications of its managers and employees, facilities and equipment and product and service quality but also on an integrated unification with its inner social and economic environment.

Aslan Çimento has become the most important source of employment for the locals for about 3 generations, functioning as a center of gravity for social and economical development. Aslan Çimento took part in many social responsibility projects in its field from education to healthcare. Among the examples of efforts of the Factory in this respect are Darıca Aslan Çimento Industrial Vocational High School and Primary School.

Rising up like a giant plane-tree in the center of Darıca, where it is located, and being a century-old pillar of Turkish Cement Sector, Aslan Çimento joined OYAK Cement Group as of 30 December 2009 and now keeps up growing and developing under the umbrella of OYAK.
